Daily-rate malpractice insurance
LocumsPractice offers daily-rate malpractice insurance so your physicians are covered for insured claims that arise out of an incident taking place during the assignment period. The coverage includes claims-made insurance, plus actuarially determined tail coverage. In charging for coverage in this manner, LocumsPractice provides access to insurance for insured claims, up to the coverage limit, made during the work assignment or claims made after the locum assignment is complete (tail coverage). LocumsPractice daily-rate malpractice insurance can be purchased for as many days as you need to cover on your physician’s next locum assignment.

Credentials verification
LocumsPractice provides full service credentials verification provided by a team of seasoned professionals who are certified by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). You can rest assured that the locum medical doctors you place through LocumsPractice are fully verified. We work closely with you and the physician to ensure the file is completed as quickly as possible and meets all applicable compliance requirements.

Privileging assistance
Don't let privileging become an issue when you've found the right physician. LocumsPractice provides assistance for both commercial or government privileging and assists the physician along the way in completing and submitting applications, frequent communication with all needed parties, documentation of the entire process, and continuously following up until privileges are granted.

Licensing assistance
Our comprehensive licensing services make obtaining new state licenses for your locum medical doctor easy. Our licensing professionals can assist your locum physician in getting one or many new licenses and will coordinate everything from the application through to the medical board decision.

Enrollment services
The LocumsPractice Enrollment Team can assist you with the CAQH (Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare) enrollment process by helping locum medical doctors create a new profile or update their existing profile so that the most accurate information is readily available for your facility's commercial payers. If physicians do not have an NPI number, we will submit the request to NPPES/CMS for the issuance of a number. After your facility receives the completed enrollment forms, we stay in touch throughout the process until no further information is needed and the locum provider number(s) are issued.

Travel and housing arrangements
LocumsPractice is here to assist you when your locum medical doctors need travel, transportation, and housing arranged for their next out of town assignment. We will work with you and the physician to determine your preferences and do all the work to ensure your physician arrives on time and is comfortable for the duration of the assignment.
